What you'll experience in this workshop
This isn't a lecture about ancient poetry persay...
This is living practice. By the end of our time together, you'll be singing the first verses of Cân y Gwynt in Cymraeg (Welsh), using your voice to invoke Awen the way the bards did, the way modern bards today still invoke Awen - through song and verse.
You'll learn the first verses of Cân y Gwynt in song
Not just reading and understanding them (though we will do this, too) You'll be singing them.
I'll guide you through the pronunciation, the rhythm, the breath patterns that make this more than words. You'll feel what it's like to speak with the wind instead of about it.
And you'll have a practice you can take home and use whenever you need to open the channel to inspiration. I also like to give this song to nature as an offering.

Before we sing, we need to understand what we're working with.
I'll share why Cân y Gwynt isn't the oldest bardic poem (like some claim) but why that actually makes it more powerful for our purposes. You'll learn how this text survived, how it functions, and why Welsh scholars see it as a window into bardic practice rather than bardic history.

In this workshop, you'll learn the difference between studying a poem and allowing a poem to change you. Between describing inspiration and becoming it.
And you'll practice it in a way that feels safe, supported, and deeply nourishing.
What's included in this workshop
Part 1: Why This Poem, Why Now
Before we sing, you need to understand what makes Cân y Gwynt the perfect invocation for modern practitioners. I'll share the scholarly truth about this text, why it's classified as a survival text, and how it preserves bardic practice from before poetry became literature.
Part 2: Breath, Sound, and Awen
An introduction to the mechanics of inspired utterance. You'll learn how the bards used breath-led phrasing to enter altered states, how sound itself becomes a carrier of inspiration, and why your voice is already a sacred tool (even if it doesn't feel like it yet).
Part 3: Learning the First Verses in Song
This is where we practice. I'll guide you through the pronunciation of Cymraeg, the melody, the rhythm. We'll sing together until the words feel natural in your mouth and the invocation feels alive in your body.

Here's what you need to know about me
I'm Victoria, and I've spent the last 20 years weaving together sound healing, ritual practice, astrology, and Welsh & Western mystery teachings.
Growing up, my first language was Cymraeg, and after my own forgetting and a period of separation from the culture I was raised in, I now devote my life to preserving and sharing the spiritual practices of my ancestors in a way that's accessible, practical, and deeply transformative for us as modern mystics and hoomins!
I've worked in frontline mental health for over a decade. I've held space for hundreds of people in ceremony. I've seen what happens when someone remembers their voice, their power, and their magic.
And I know how sacred it is to guide others into this work.
That's why I cant just inform. It has to be held space. It's an invitation back into a lineage of right relationship with spirit and the human soul. I take my work very seriously, but its still a joyous thing, and if we're not laughing together then whats even the point! Its all about love at the end of the day!
