• Live interactive Storytelling:  Listen to the tale of Taliesin, the wise bard who drank from Cerridwens cauldron of Awen and was transformed, much as you will be in your own journey. In a live, interactive storytelling session, you will not only hear the myths of Wales, but become part of the story, brewing your own Awen from the native plant  just as Cerridwen did, and just as the bards of old once wove themselves into the fabric of the land.

• Daily Traditional Meals: Enjoy meals rooted in Welsh tradition, crafted with fresh ingredients by our experienced iron-age chef. Enjoy 3 delicious meals a day, all created with traditional Welsh dishes (inc vegetarian and gluten-free options)

• Firelight Gatherings & Live Performances: When the fires of the hearth were lit, the bards would sing their sacred songs, and the people would gather to dance in honour of the Great Mother and the Old Gods. By the firelight, you will craft, sing songs to the rhythm of the earth, and dance just as the Celts did in honour of the cycles of life, death, and rebirth.

• Healing Soundscapes: As the Mabinogi teaches us, the sound of the sacred harp was a doorway to the Otherworld, carrying the soul to higher realms. Here, you’ll rediscover your connection to the earth, just as Pwyll and Rhiannon once reconnected with the depths of the Otherworld through their sacred bond with the land.

Over several days of deep immersion, you will engage in practices that draw upon the rich tapestry of Welsh myth, legend, and nature, allowing you to reawaken your inner celtic wisdom and embrace your role in the stories of earth.

This is not simply a retreat - it is an invitation to remember who you truly are in relation to the land, to the myths, and to the ancestral spirits that reside within and around you.​

​​The Magic of Wales: Cae Mabon Retreat Center

Nestled in the ancient heart of North Wales, Cae Mabon is a place where myth and reality intertwine. This sacred space is woven into the very landscape of Welsh folklore - from the spirit of the Green Man that thrives in the forest, to the faeries that dance in the twilight. Here, the veil between worlds is thin, and you will feel the pulse of ancient energy beneath your feet.

It is the perfect place to step back in time, just as Pwyll stepped into the realm of Arawn, king of the Otherworld, and learn what it truly means to be a child of the land.

The dwellings all consist of natural earthen houses build into the natural curves of the land and the entire small village has been dubbed by Professor Tom Woolley as "the 'number one natural building project in the UK". It truly is like stepping into a Tolkien fairy-tale.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ 

There are a number of single beds on offer, keeping a community feel to the event, there are also a few double beds that can be shared to save costs or splurged for extra star-fishing space! The Hobbit House is also available as bundle that can include up to 3 people for reduced costs (meals and activities included) or you are welcome to splurge as a single or couple looking for a little extra privacy or space.
